i know i just posted, but i wanted to blog about our valentine date... which by the way was AMAZING.

i made heart shaped pancakes for corey in the morning.

then we went to get his mom & mema flowers.

we delivered them.

visited his papa's grave.

went to dinner @ weber grill.

cirque du soleil!

corey gave me his special gift... (see below)

they didn't allow us to bring in any cameras to cirque du soleil, but... i will NEVER forget that!

so, i was reading my DEER friend katy's blog about makeup...and i will give it to her she IS the professional as far as face makeup goes...

but, i am going to go ahead & give myself authority to blog about mascara! i am the girl who got a lot of compliments on her eyelashes & never really understood why... && it wasn't until i took interest in mascara myself that i realized that i had a pretty good routine down && that it has very little to do with having 'long eyelashes'....

tip 1: i have ALWAYS used 2 kinds of mascara at once

so, anyway --- here is my routine ::

- i always curl my eyelashes first.

- then, i apply the first mascara (usually one that is a 'defining' type)

- i let them dry for about 30 seconds
- then, i curl them again.

- then i apply the second type of mascara (usually my 'thick' kind)

- i let them dry again.

- last, i curl them one last time :)

#5: Great Lash by Maybelline

i give this one 5th place because this one is the mascara i first started wearing && continued to wear up until i went to college. it's classic!! i will always love blackest black great lash. (5$)

#4: Colossal by Maybelline

this mascara is AMAZING. it's very thick && works great as a top coat on top of a less thick mascara. i must admit i first bought it bc the packaging is so BRIGHT :). this one gets 5 stars.

(7$ish)#3: Mary Kay's Ultimate Mascara

i must admit that i was not excited to try this mascara out, but my deer friend katy dragged me to a mary kay party thing, & i tried it & absolutely fell in love. its a good thing i dont know someone who sells mary kay bc i would be buying it ALL THE TIME. (15$)

#2: Double Extend Mascara by L'Oreal

i heard a lot of talking about this mascara before i finally decided to try it. i did some research online about it before i made the plung & i read about all these girls who were saying that it made their eyelashes fall out! my mind was made up that i was NOT going to buy it, but then i read a few more that said you just have to be careful how you take it off. there are specific directions about how you have to take it off because the tubes form around your eyelashes & so you have to let the hot water sit on it for about 30 seconds before you can start to rub it off. also, it is a MESS to take up...but i promise.. ITS WORTH IT! p.s. the moisturizer (the white tube) is the best kind i have EVER used... and i've never been be fan of that crap :) (9$)

#1: Urban Decay -- BIG FATTY!

hands down, best mascara ever. this mascara is of course the most expensive kind on my list... but you also see its in the #1 spot. you get what you pay for. its SOOO thick & it lasts all day. there is NO flaking. there is not enough time to blog about all the good things about this mascara :) (19$)

&& there they are.... all of them great in their own ways...but big fatty takes it in all categories....


i know this blog is ridiculous...but i would like to save everyone time and money (on buying horrible mascara) by giving you a pretty good top 5 with a WIDE range of prices (5$-19$)....


oh yeah! i have 2 in my room waiting to be opened -- STILETTO by maybelline and Lash BLAST by covergirl.


ONE MORE THING: i have ALWAYS wanted to try Dior - Diorshow .. so PLEASE tell me if you've tried it & if its worth the 25$!

OH AND PLEASE! leave me your favorites i am ALWAYS wanting to try more..

i just wanted to comment on the fact that lately i have heard a lot of people saying:

"i hate valentines day...its stupid....its just a holiday for people to make money"....

&& i want to say to those people....
"what is wrong with you?"

&& these people saying it aren't even the people who are single... they are people who are with somebody!


yes, its a little cheesy.
yes, you spend some money.
but - why can't there be a day dedicated to love?


for some people tomorrow is one of the couple days a year a couple gets an excuse to get out ...

&& i say...

let it be cheesy.

i am proud to say that corey and i have cheesy plans....
&& i could not be more excited about it!!

yeah, sorry i haven't been updating.... school and friends have been keeping me super busy.

so update.

as far as weight goes...i am down 3 lbs since i think tuesday when i started, but im not too excited because i can't ever stay consistent. haha, i know its great to believe in yourself.

tuesday --- worked out for 1 hour with katy

wednesday --- worked out for 1 hour with brooke

other than that -- we are off to a pretty good start to the invites for katy's wedding! also the shower ones are almost done!!

annnd friday i will be traveling down to brown county with katy for the final meeting with the planner at the inn about the linens. excited to finally see the tables put together! serious! and then we will be taking lots of pictures (as many as we can with the snow) to show to the videographer and the photographer!

i will upload one TINY picture of the shower invites so that katy won't kill me.
